SUMMARY:First Friday for Crossroads Marathon
DESCRIPTION:First Fridays in Downtown Salina usually conclude in October\, but a special First Friday was added November 7 just for Crossroads Marathon attendees. The event features late-night shopping\, art receptions\, live music\, and various activities in the downtown area. The Blades will be playing in Campbell Plaza. \nSalina Crossroads Marathon — the Most Runner-Friendly Marathon in Kansas — will take place on Saturday\, November 8 in Downtown Salina. There are 4700 runners registered from all 50 states\, Canada\, Mexico\, and Tanzania\, which puts Salina Crossroads on pace to be the largest marathon event in Kansas this year. \nVolunteers Needed\nThis year the Salina Crossroads Marathon needs more than 300 volunteers. Shifts are available Friday (Nov 7) from 10:00a.m.-8:00p.m. and Saturday morning (Nov 8) starting at 6:00a.m. for packet pickup. Sign up here. Volunteer needs include course monitors\, finish line and festival\, and packet pickup. \nAn Event for the Entire Family\nIn addition to the marathon\, Salina Crossroads has a 5K\, 10K (new for 2025!)\, half-marathon\, team relay events\, and a half-mile kids’ fun run. The generosity of the community allows Salina Crossroads to be one of the most affordable races in Kansas. Runners can register here. \nPace Car\nThe lead car for the 2025 Salina Crossroads Marathon is a 1991 Porsche 964 Targa. Thank you to The Garage for providing this year’s lead car!
