If you are looking for opportunities to learn how to bolster your local food systems and connect with like-minded Kansans\, the Kansas Local Food Summit is a great choice. We have sessions planned that are relevant to a wide range of different food systems interests\, including food access\, food waste & recovery\, incubator kitchens\, farmers markets\, rural grocery\, local meats\, community engagement\, farm to school\, and more. \nPlease review the registration details carefully before registering\, as there are several new options this year for Tuesday activities. Join this tour to learn more about purchasing and selling local food and running a CSA program\, including an inside look into their commercial kitchen and catering business. \nSeraphim Bread opened January 2018 as an artisan bakery in downtown Salina\, KS. They provide high quality handmade bread in addition to promoting the food culture of central Kansas and the Midwest. They proudly use locally sourced ingredients like flour from Heartland Mills and dairy from Hildebrand Farms which both help our local economy and give the freshest of ingredients to work with.
